Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1003289) describes a round cairn on the summit of Corndon Tor, within the Dartmeet coaxial field system. It is a circular stony mound up to 27.5 metres across and 2.5 metres high, and it includes some of the tor's rock outcrop. It lies in the parish of Widecombe in the Moor, about 0.8 km east of Yar Tor and 1.5 km west of Ponsworthy.
It was partly excavated in the 1820s, when a group of about fifty holiday-makers and local people searched it and found 'a pot or two'. Other remains nearby, some scheduled and some not, are outside this scheduling.
