An unenclosed stone hut circle settlement, an irregular aggregate field system, a length of reave and an enclosure on the south east slope of Leeden T

This Scheduled Monument preserves the remains of a prehistoric settlement nestled on the south east slope of Leeden Tor. The site comprises an unenclosed cluster of stone hut circles, the foundations of dwellings from the Bronze Age, alongside an irregular field system and lengths of reave, the characteristic stone boundaries that divided the moor into holdings and pastures.

Walking the site today, you encounter the scattered stones and slight earthworks that mark where people lived and worked thousands of years ago. The reaves and field patterns reveal how communities managed their land, while the hut circles themselves are humble reminders of domestic life on the high moor. The landscape here tells the story of Bronze Age farming on Dartmoor.
