One place for everything

I've always found it difficult to follow what's been happening in and around Dartmoor.

Social Media has also become increasingly partisan and frankly a little depressing.

So, I thought it might be a good time to create a place where you can find information and where we can share ideas and thoughts.

I'm not pretending to have all the answers, nor will this be an easy task, it just seems that a place where you can discover more about Dartmoor without having to grapple with masses of open tabs, AI sticking it's nose in where it isn't wanted, and without the fear of being lambasted for your "niavety" is a place I might like to visit ...

What will be on the directory?

Everything.

Literally, anything ... I'm building the website from the ground up (so there will be teething problems galour) ... however I want Farmers, Artists, Businesses, Charities, individuals, organisations ... the list is endless.

Established agencies and people working from their spare room.

Everybody has something to contribute ...

what's it going to cost?

Nothing ... zero ... zilch ... nada

It's a terrible business plan, I know! I'm one of those sad, idiotic people who think that sharing and caring is something humans should try a little bit more of 🤣

Maybe, once the "directory" is up and running and we're actually attracting some interest I'll introduce a sponsorship option, or allow banner ad's, but ultimately I want this to be on peoples bookmarks as the place to find out anything about Dartmoor 💚

There are no stupid questions

I really only have a vague idea about how to put this together, based upon my own experiences on Dartmoor and trying to find information about Dartmoor.

I'm already realising that the simplest task of building the categories for my listings is a minefield in itself 🤣

I'm a photographer, only circumstance has led me to try and create an online resource for those of us that love Dartmoor. I'm sure I'll be making a great deal of mistakes on the way, and I have very little idea how to proceed.
