Winter Tor sits on the edge of the Okehampton range, slightly overshadowed by Belstone Tor and Higher Tor. It features a pointed outcrop above a scree slope that runs down to the East Okement River. The tor has a distinctive symmetry on its east side and shows signs of past stonecutting activity. The best approach is from Belstone or via Cullever Steps, with views over the East Okement Valley.
