Hangingstone Hill is a prominent high point in North Dartmoor, marked by an Army observation post and flagpole. It lies within the Okehampton firing range, so visitors should heed red flags. The summit offers superb views on clear days, stretching to Exmoor, the Quantocks, and other Dartmoor peaks. A military road leads to the top, with the nearby Whitehorse Hill forming a subpeak to the south.
