Cocks Hill

Cocks Hill is a fairly unremarkable summit standing at 501 metres near Langstone Moor, the River Walkham and the Lych Way. The ground is notably boggy, particularly problematic outside the drier months. There are few established paths to the tor itself, so the best approach is from White Barrow via the Lych Way. You will need to observe firing range notices as Cocks Hill lies within the Merrivale Firing Range. From here you can see Lynch Tor, Great Mis Tor and North Hessary Tor with its mast.
