Hare Tor sits on Dartmoor's western edge at 531 metres, close enough to half a dozen other tors to make linking walks straightforward. From the summit you see across to Cornwall, north towards Great Links Tor and Brat Tor, and south to the sea and Plymouth Sound. Behind it the moor opens towards Fur Tor and Great Kneeset. A military flagpole marks the summit, as the tor falls within the Willsworthy firing range. It's visible from many other tors across this part of the moor and ranks among the strongest viewpoints on the western side. Park at the Dartmoor Inn near Lydford.
