- Parish: Peter Tavy
- Height: 440 m
- Grid reference: SX 551 791
- Rock: Metamorphic (not granite)
This small, ruined tor lies at about 440 m on Arthur Hill in Peter Tavy parish, roughly 300 m north of the Langstone menhir, the tall standing stone on Langstone Moor. It is made of metamorphic rock rather than granite, and it is far smaller than the Hare Tor on the Willsworthy range.
Exactly where it is has been argued over. In his Guide to Dartmoor (1912) William Crossing wrote that the name was given to a small pile above an equally small patch of loose stone on the slope above Wapsworthy Wells. Tors of Dartmoor places it at SX 551 791 in two parts. The eastern part, on public land, is a small group of prominent jagged rocks. The western part is a flattened pile on private land beyond a newtake wall (the wall of an enclosed field) that can be seen from a barbed wire fence. Terry Bound describes a separate low pile about four metres across near Bagga Tor, which the Tors of Dartmoor writers could not find.
Do not confuse it with the better known Hare Tor, a granite cone of 531 m about 5 km to the north on the Willsworthy range. Both are in Peter Tavy parish, so the parish does not tell them apart.
