Hill Bridge is a stone bridge carrying a narrow lane over the Tavy, with a weir, fish pass and walkway beside it. Mrs Bray, in her Description of the Part of Devonshire Bordering on the Tamar and the Tavy, calls it "that most delightful scene, Hill Bridge", with the bold Brimhill Tors opposite across the river. Rowe indexes it as Hill Bridge, Peter Tavy.
Crossing's routes use it often. One way from White Tor to the bridge runs by Wapsworthy, and the Lich Path heads towards the bridge, from which Lydford church is three miles. An extension of his Peter Tavy route goes by Wapsworthy, Hill Bridge and Horndon via Cudlipp Town.
