Bagga Tor
Devon
Bagga Tor is a low granite outcrop rising from the central Dartmoor plateau. At 372 metres, it commands no dramatic summit but offers the kind of quiet vantage point that rewards a steady walk across open moorland. The granite bones of the tor are typical of Dartmoor, weathered and exposed to the elements.
The walk to Bagga Tor takes you into working moorland country, where the landscape opens out with few enclosures. From the summit you can read the grain of the moor itself, with views across the high ground to nearby tors and the distant ridges that shape this granite landscape. It is an honest walk on honest moorland.
