Situated at an elevation of 554 metres, Devil’s Tor is a flat-topped granite hill with no sharp peaks, unlike its neighbours. The name may be linked to the nearby Beardown Man menhir, which some believed represented the Devil. The tor offers wide views northwards across the moor, and has been a refuge for foxes during hunts. Letterbox stamps often appear here, adding to its quirky charm.
