Sharpitor

Devon

Sharpitor is a granite peak on Dartmoor's central plateau, standing at around 415 metres above sea level. Like many of Dartmoor's tors, it is formed from the granite outcrops that characterise the high moor, and offers a rewarding vantage point across the surrounding moorland landscape.

The tor sits within easy reach of several walking routes across central Dartmoor. From this height, the rolling expanse of heather, grass and stone stretches in all directions, making it a natural landmark and a good point to orientate yourself on the moor.
