Sharp Tor

Devon

Sharp Tor stands at 348 metres, a distinctive granite outcrop that lives up to its name. The exposed rock formation rises prominently from the surrounding moorland, offering clear views across central Dartmoor and the country beyond. The tor's angular profile makes it a recognisable landmark from other high points on the moor.

The walk to Sharp Tor takes you through typical Dartmoor terrain, crossing open moorland and boggy ground. In clear weather the views repay the effort. The tor itself is easily reached and offers a natural vantage point for understanding the scale and character of the landscape that surrounds it.
