Summit cairn on Great Gnats' Head

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1015740) describes a round cairn on the summit of Great Gnats' Head, above the valley of the River Plym, part of a scattered group of burial monuments. The mound is 12 metres across and up to 0.6 metres high, and stones set on edge in places mark a kerb. A modern stone pile on top of the cairn is not part of the scheduling. It lies in the parish of Shaugh Prior, about 0.9 km north-east of Calveslake Tor.
