Hart Tor

Hart Tor is a low granite peak that sits quietly on the open moorland of central Dartmoor, near the B3212 between Postbridge and Two Bridges. At 436 metres, it is not among the highest tors on the moor, but its position on relatively exposed ground gives it presence in the landscape and good views across the surrounding plateau to distant ridges and peaks.
The approach is straightforward from nearby lanes or parking areas, making it accessible to walkers of all levels. The tor itself is modest in stature, composed of weathered granite outcrops typical of Dartmoor's high ground. It is a good waypoint on longer moorland walks and a quiet place to pause and take in the moorland character that defines this part of the park.
