Two Headland Warren boundary stones near Birch Tor

Two Headland Warren was a managed rabbit warren, likely established in the medieval period when rabbit farming was a valuable enterprise on Dartmoor. The boundary stones that defined its extent still stand on the moorland north of Birch Tor, marking the invisible lines that once enclosed this resource. Such warrens were common across the moor, reflecting how people shaped and exploited the landscape for centuries.
