Hut circle near North Hessary Tor

Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1011179) describes a stone hut circle on the south-eastern edge of an unenclosed hut circle settlement on the lower south-facing slope of North Hessary Tor, above the valley of the River Meavy. It is a stone and earth bank around a space 2.3 metres across, with a wall 1.6 metres wide and 0.4 metres high. The doorway is a gap on the south-south-west side. Other huts of the settlement lie north and west, and the Walkhampton Common reave runs 7 metres to the south-east. It lies in the parish of Walkhampton, about 1.1 km north of Hart Tor and 1.3 km south-west of Princetown.
