Stone hut circle settlement 250m east of Cuckoo Rock

This scheduled monument comprises a settlement of Bronze Age hut circles, their stone foundations still traceable across the open moorland. The circular stone rings mark where roundhouses once stood, their diameter and arrangement telling of a community that lived and worked on Dartmoor when the landscape was more extensively settled than today. The site sits on moorland characteristic of the high plateaus inland from Cuckoo Rock.
