Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1012083) describes a stone hut circle close to the north bank of Hentor Brook. It is 9 metres across inside, with walls up to 2 metres thick and 0.5 metres high and an entrance to the north-east. There are other hut circles and enclosures nearby. It lies in the parish of Shaugh Prior, about 0.3 km south-west of Hen Tor.
Historic England describes hut circles as the low stone walls of round houses, roofed with timber and turf or thatch, occupied by prehistoric farmers, a building tradition on Dartmoor that goes back to the second millennium BC, probably from about 1700 BC.
