Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1019226) describes a round cairn on Black Down, on a narrow shelf on a steep east-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Moor Brook. It is 8 metres across and up to 0.8 metres high. A hollow in the middle marks an early investigation, and a narrow trench beside the north-west side is probably from military interference in the past. It lies in the parish of Okehampton Hamlets, about 1.3 km north of West Mill Tor and 2.9 km south of Okehampton.
