Longtimber Tor is a substantial outcrop by the River Tavy, just north of Peter Tavy, draped in ivy, oak and beech. A smaller rock juts out near the river. The climb is a bit tricky through brambles, but the view from the top includes Smeardon Down and Boulters Tor. The tor has a castle-like appearance, though it is now largely cloaked in vegetation.
