Fox Tor is a small tor on the edge of the treacherous Foxtor Mires, with Childe’s Tomb at its foot. It sits between higher ground to the north and south, yet offers fine views across the mires towards Whiteworks and the northern moors. The nearby remains of Foxtor Farm, once a setting for a novel, add to its quiet history. The best approach is to skirt the mire from Nun’s Cross.
