Nuns Cross Farm

Princetown, Devon

Part of Princetown →

Nuns Cross Farm is a moorland farmstead on the southern moor a few miles south of Princetown. The current house dates from 1901, though the site was first enclosed by the Hooper family in the 1870s. It stands close to Siward's Cross, also known as Nun's Cross, a granite boundary marker documented from at least 1240. The farm sits on what was historically the monastic route between Buckfast Abbey and Tavistock Abbey.
