An account of rambles and adventures across Dartmoor's hills, described on its title page as covering "wanderings and adventures on Dartmoor." Published in Plymouth and London in 1888, this was one of Crossing's earliest full-length Dartmoor books, written before he had settled fully into the guidebook style of his later, more famous works.
