Little Staple Tor

Grid ref: SX 5386 7536

On walking routes: Abbot's Way

Little Staple Tor is the lowest of the Staple Tors, with scattered granite rocks rather than stacked formations. Its standout feature is a grand rock basin, first noted in the late 19th century, which collects water and is adorned with stonecrop. Views from here include the sentinel tors of Vixen and Pew, and in the distance, Bodmin Moor. The area is littered with granite, making the approach a bit tricky but rewarding.
