Pew Tor

Grid ref: SX 5324 7346

On walking routes: Abbot's Way

Pew Tor stands on Whitchurch Common, offering fine views north towards Cox Tor and Princetown. Its layered granite towers form a natural amphitheatre, with short-cropped grass between the outcrops. Thirteen granite slabs, shaped like hot cross buns, mark the site, some carved in 1847. The tor is easily reached from the car park on Pork Hill, with well-worn paths leading up from all directions.
