Bonehill Rocks

Bonehill Rocks is a granite tor rising 393 metres on the eastern side of Dartmoor, overlooking the East Webburn River and the village of Widecombe in the Moor. The tor is built from huge boulders stacked into one large pile, with a difficult-to-reach summit and impressive vertical sides, particularly on the south-western face where steep drops fall away toward the valley. It is known locally as a serious climbing outcrop, but walkers find plenty of shelter here and three nearby car parks make it easily accessible. From the rocks you can see across to Haytor, Bell Tor, Chinkwell Tor and Top Tor, though views are somewhat restricted compared to higher tors on the moor.
