Top Tor, or Dream Tor as it's known in literature, sits on the edge of the high moor with three distinct granite outcrops. The summit pile is notably broken and angular, especially from the north-west. It's a short walk from the B3387 road and offers fine views down to Widecombe and towards Haytor. The tor is linked to the poet Beatrice Chase, who lived nearby and wrote about it in her works.
