Little Mis Tor

Devon

Little Mis Tor is a small granite outcrop situated on the open moorland of central Dartmoor. Like many of the tor names on the moor, its origins are modest and unadorned, reflecting the practical character of Dartmoor itself. The tor commands views across the surrounding high ground and down into the valleys that cut through the granite plateau.

The approach is across typical moorland terrain, with the rocky crown standing clear enough to spot from distance. The granite character is authentic and understated, a quiet landmark among the working moor rather than a dramatic summit. It forms part of the network of tors that make Dartmoor's high ground distinctive and navigable.
