Great Kneeset is a quiet, non-distinct hill deep in the North Moor, with two low granite outcrops at the top. The southern one is a huge slab barely rising above the turf, while the northern one has a slight overhang and offers views down the West Okement Valley. It's best approached from the west via Broad Amicombe Hole, though other routes may involve crossing bogs or rivers. The views from the southern outcrop are described as magnificent, stretching across the moorland and beyond.
