Arms Tor

Arms Tor is a modest peak of granite on central Dartmoor, rising to 475 metres above sea level. It sits in open moorland with the characteristic rocky outcrops and scattered stones typical of the higher moor. The tor offers a good vantage point across the surrounding plateau, with views toward the neighbouring high ground and the gradual fall of the land beyond the park boundary.
The walk to Arms Tor is undemanding, crossing accessible moorland. Like much of central Dartmoor, the terrain is open and relatively featureless, which means navigation requires attention but rewards you with the sense of space the moor is known for.
