Wigford Down

Devon

Wigford Down is a small granite tor rising from the open moorland of central Dartmoor. Its setting among heather and grass, with clear sightlines across the high plateau, makes it a natural gathering point for walkers crossing this part of the moor.

The tor commands views over the surrounding moorland and fits naturally into Dartmoor's chain of high points. The approach is straightforward, making it accessible to most walkers exploring the central plateau.
