Shell Top

Grid ref: SX 5975 6380

Shell Top is a small but distinctive granite outcrop high on the western end of Broadall Gulf, with Penn Beacon visible to the south. It is one of the highest points on the southern moor and offers thrilling views to the north-west. The summit is a small stack of rocks, and the cairn that once marked the site is now much less obvious, covered in grass. It can be linked on a walk with Penn Beacon, starting from Quick Bridge or Blackaton Cross.
