Unenclosed stone hut circle settlement 320m south east of Higher Tor

This is a settlement of stone hut circles, likely dating from the Bronze Age, scattered across the open moorland south east of Higher Tor. The remains consist of the circular stone foundations of roundhouses, characteristic of upland communities who lived and farmed on Dartmoor in prehistory. The site sits within the wider pattern of ancient settlement that shaped the moor's landscape.

Today the hut circles are visible as low stone rings and rubble platforms in the heather and grass.
