Two hut circle settlements with an irregular aggregate field system east of Rival Tor near Buttern Hill

This scheduled monument comprises two stone hut circle settlements set within an irregular pattern of ancient fields, typical of Bronze Age occupation on Dartmoor. The hut circles are the remains of roundhouses that once sheltered farming families, while the field boundaries show how people managed stock and crops across the moor during prehistory.

Today the site sits on open moorland where the stone foundations and earthworks remain visible in the landscape.
