Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1020880) describes a hut circle settlement in Crockern Newtake, on a gentle south-west-facing slope above the West Dart River. It has five hut circles, rubble banks round circular spaces of 4.9 to 36.3 square metres, averaging 15.2, with walls up to 0.7 metres high. Two have visible doorways. Several lengths of field wall go with them, made of large slabs, some on edge though most laid flat. It lies in the parish of Dartmoor Forest, about 0.4 km west of Crockern Tor and 1 km north of Two Bridges.
