Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1010788) describes a round cairn on the summit of Little Hound Tor, part of a distinct group of at least four cairns, a stone circle and a standing stone. The mound is 10 metres across and up to 0.9 metres high. A trench through its middle suggests partial early excavation or robbing, and a large earthfast granite slab forms its west side. A modern pile of stones, 2 metres across and up to 0.7 metres high, sits on top of the cairn. It lies in the parish of South Tawton, about 1.9 km north-east of Steeperton Tor.
