Steeperton Tor is a vast granite tor on high ground in the heart of the North Moor, with a southern outcrop known as Eagle Rock. It is surrounded by water on three sides, with the River Taw to the west and Steeperton Brook to the east. A military hut and flagpole sit on the summit, and the approach from most directions is steep. Views across Taw Marsh and the surrounding moorland are impressive.
