This round cairn is a scheduled monument typical of Bronze Age burial practices on Dartmoor, built as a stone mound to cover and mark a grave or graves. The site sits on the high open moorland west-southwest of Crazy Well Pool, one of many such cairns scattered across the granite plateau that speak to intensive use of the moor in prehistory.
