Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1002519) describes a platform cairn with an encircling kerb on Shaugh Moor, overlooking the Plym valley. The cairn is a circular, flat-topped stony mound up to 9 metres across and 0.3 metres high. A kerb of 11 stones, up to 0.5 metres high, encircles it. It lies in the parish of Shaugh Prior, about 2.3 km north-west of Blackalder Tor and 1.4 km east of Shaugh Prior.
Other remains nearby, some scheduled and some not, are outside this scheduling.
