Mel Tor is a granite tor between Bel Tor and the steep descent to the River Dart. It is easily reached from Bel Tor car park with a short walk. The summit has small, irregular rock basins that occasionally hold rainwater, and there is a fine millstone on the south side, evidence of past stone cutting. The tor extends into the woodland below, with outcrops to the south and west.
