Aish Tor

Devon

Aish Tor stands at 283 metres on the northern side of the Dart Gorge, a small and unassuming granite outcrop crowned with a cairn. The tor itself is flat and subtle, easy to overlook among the surrounding moorland, yet it commands views across the steep wooded valley below.

Reached by Dr. Blackall's Drive from Newbridge Hill, Aish Tor sits within reach of several neighbouring tors including Sharp Tor, Leigh Tor and Mel Tor. It is a quiet spot that rewards the walker with both solitude and the intimate character of the northern moor.
