Littaford Tor
Devon
Littaford Tor is a small granite peak on the central Dartmoor plateau, rising above the surrounding moorland between Postbridge and Fernworthy. The tor itself is modest compared to some of Dartmoor's more dramatic summits, but its location on the open moor gives it a good vantage point across the high ground and working landscape of the granite uplands.
The tor sits in country rich with Bronze Age remains, and the walk to it takes you across typical Dartmoor terrain of grass, heather and scattered stone. It is easily reached from nearby routes and offers the quiet reward of a high point with wide views over one of the moor's less visited central sections.
