Legis Tor

Legis Tor is a low granite peak in the heart of Dartmoor, standing at 310 metres among open moorland. It is not dramatic or heavily visited, but it offers the quiet character typical of the central moor and clear views across the rolling plateau towards neighbouring tors and the distant margins of the National Park.
The approach is easiest from the south or east across accessible moorland. The tor itself consists of weathered granite outcrops typical of Dartmoor's high ground. It rewards a visit for its sense of place on the moor rather than for any distinctive feature, and it makes a natural waypoint on longer moorland walks across this quiet corner of the plateau.
