Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1002521) describes a ring cairn and a kerbed round cairn within the Wigford Down coaxial field system, overlooking the Plym and Meavy valleys. The northern one, the ring cairn, is a circular bank up to 3.5 metres wide and 0.75 metres high around a flat inside up to 17.5 metres across, with signs of early partial digging or robbing on the south-west side. It lies in the parish of Meavy, about 2.5 km west of Legis Tor and 2 km north of Shaugh Prior.
The kerbed cairn is an oval mound 10 metres long by 5 metres wide. Its inner kerb is 6.3 metres across and made of at least five massive stones, up to 2.4 metres long and 0.9 metres high. Four still stand and the fifth has fallen. Other remains nearby, some scheduled and some not, are outside this scheduling.
