Cairn near Hen Tor

This scheduled monument is a Bronze Age cairn with an associated cist, a stone-built burial chamber typical of Dartmoor's prehistoric heritage. The site sits on open moorland north of Hen Tor, part of the dense cluster of burial monuments that characterise this landscape. Such cairns were constructed over many centuries during the Bronze Age as focal points for ritual and remembrance.
