Bridford Parish Council

Bridford is a small village and civil parish in the Teign Valley, on the southern fringe of Dartmoor National Park in the Teignbridge district of Devon. Bridford Parish Council is the elected local authority for the parish, representing residents' views to Teignbridge District Council and Devon County Council on matters such as planning applications, footpaths, allotments and local amenities. The council usually meets on the first Monday of each month at 7pm in Bridford Village Hall, where members of the public may attend and raise issues. The parish is centred on the village of Bridford itself, with its Grade I listed parish church of St Thomas a Becket, a medieval granite building with a 14th-century chancel and largely 15th-century nave, noted for its rood screen, wagon roof and medieval glass. The surrounding parish is rural and sparsely populated, bordered by the neighbouring parishes of Dunsford, Doddiscombsleigh, Christow and Moretonhampstead.
