Christow Parish Council

Christow is a village in the Teign Valley on the southern edge of Dartmoor National Park, within the Teignbridge district of Devon. Christow Parish Council is made up of eight elected members, who serve four-year terms and are supported by a part-time clerk. The council meets once a month, except in August, in the Bowden Room of the Teign Valley Community Hall at 7.30pm, and members of the public are welcome to attend and may address the council during a public discussion period at the start of each meeting. Christow's parish church, St James the Apostle, is a Grade I listed building with a 12th-century Norman font and a largely 15th-century structure, its west tower a later Gothic Survival addition of 1630 housing a ring of eight bells. The council publishes agendas, minutes, a village map and other useful local information through its website, covering matters such as planning consultation, footpaths, local amenities and community facilities.
