Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1018788) describes an unenclosed hut circle settlement and a cairn on an east-facing slope above the valley of the River North Teign. The settlement is a line of five hut circles, each a bank round a circular space of 4.15 to 14.51 square metres, averaging 11.53. The walls are 0.4 to 0.7 metres high, averaging 0.56, and survive as earthworks. Four have visible doorways. The cairn lies a short way east of the huts, a mound 5 metres across and up to 0.7 metres high. It lies in the parish of Gidleigh, about 0.5 km south-west of Rival Tor and 3.1 km west of Gidleigh.
