Historic England's scheduling record (list entry 1009091) describes an enclosure with a stone hut circle on a gentle south-facing slope overlooking Burrator Reservoir. The enclosure is an irregular area 47 metres long and 35 metres wide, bounded by a rubble lynchet on the east, 1 metre wide and 0.3 metres high, and on the west, 3 metres wide and 1.3 metres high. The north-west boundary is a rubble bank 1.5 metres wide and 0.3 metres high that lies under a post-medieval drystone wall 1.5 metres high. Two slight lynchets up to 0.4 metres high divide the inside into three distinct areas. It lies in the parish of Walkhampton, about 0.3 km south of Lowery Tor and 1.9 km north of Sheepstor.
The hut circle is a bank of stone and earth around a circular inner area 5 metres across, with a wall 1.5 metres wide and up to 0.4 metres high. The doorway is a gap in the wall facing south-west. The post-medieval wall on the north-west boundary is left out of the scheduling, though the rubble bank beneath it is included.
